I AM Photokina – Nikon, 21st September 2010
The Nikon booth at Photokina opened its doors yesterday. Here, Tad Nakayama, President of Nikon Germany talks about why Photokina is such an important event in Nikon’s diary and what’s planned for Photokina 2010.
Introducing I AM Photokina
Each day throughout Photokina Nikon will be bringing you videos updates on what’s been happening on the Nikon booth.
Nikon unveiled its booth, announced Jamie Oliver as a brand ambassador and showcased several recently-launched cameras including the D7000 and D3100.
Here’s Nikon's first daily update from Photokina. Enjoy.
I AM Chase Jarvis: An interview with Chase Jarvis
Photography legend, Chase Jarvis, made the keynote speech on the Nikon booth on Monday. Nikon chatted with Chase after his presentation.
Chase was the first to use our the D7000 camera. Here you can check out the first film he shot with it – “Benevolent Mischief”.
Jamie Oliver to feature in Nikon advertising
Nikon has reveal that Jamie Oliver is set to star in the new 30 second television advert for the Nikon D3100 – our easiest to use D-SLR to date.
The commercial sees Jamie, a keen amateur photographer and user of the D3100, cooking at home with his friends. Watch this space for the TV commercial!
Jamie also took time out to chat with us about his love for photography as well as the close links between his creativity in the kitchen and with his camera. We’ll post this video up on the blog soon.
The D3100 is the successor to Europe’s best selling D-SLR, the D3000. Great for families, its popular Guide mode lets you capture those special moments in perfect quality whilst also helping you learn photography skills to get the most from your D-SLR. It features 14.2 megapixels, full HD movie and comes in a compact, lightweight but tough body so it is easy to carry around too. Check out dpreview’s preview here.
